About the scholarship
The Flame Stoppers Māori & Pasifika Quantity Surveying Excellence Scholarship provides financial support and mentoring to high achieving Māori and Pasifika students during the second and third years of their Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying major). The scholarship aims to encourage and mentor these students to become leaders in the construction industry and their communities.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be:
- Māori or Pacific descent
- New Zealand citizens or permanent residents
- a member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS)
- enrolled in one of the following degree programmes, majoring in quantity surveying/construction economics:
- Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) - Massey University
- Bachelor of Construction (Construction Economics) - UNITEC
- Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Future Skills Academy
- Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Ara Institute of Canterbury
- Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Otago Polytechnic
- Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) – Southern Institute of Technology
- commencing their second year of degree study in 2025.
