About the scholarship
The Dorothy Edith Wynyard Agricultural Scholarship is for students enrolling in the first year of a degree in agriculture or animal science. Established in memory of Dorothy Edith Wynyard, who began studying for a Bachelor of Arts at the age of 59, this scholarship aims to support and encourage those who wish to study agriculture but might otherwise struggle to afford the cost of study.
Entry requirements
You must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident enrolling in the first year of a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Bachelor of Animal Science, or Bachelor of Agribusiness at Massey University. Include the following with your application: transcripts for your secondary school results. If you are studying NCEA please attach your School results Summary from the NZQA website at https://secure.nzqa.govt.nz/for-learners/records/login.do. On the My School Entries and Results page, click the ‘view as pdf’ (button on the right-hand side) to save this document. A 500-word statement outlining why you want to study agriculture and what benefit it would have to you, your family, community, and country. A reference from your high school, workplace, voluntary organisation, or a registered charity or club attesting to your work ethic and/or community involvement.
