About the scholarship

The Banks Peninsula Ecological Restoration Scholarship was established in 2025 to support a Lincoln University postgraduate student with an interest in ecological restoration on Banks Peninsula. Living Streams Community Nursery, a volunteer, eco-sourced native plant nursery in Little River, sponsors this scholarship to further support native regeneration and conservation on Banks Peninsula. Successful recipients will be introduced to Peninsula conservation groups, providing opportunities for local experience, work, study, or research.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be full-time postgraduate students from Lincoln University studying ecology, plant science, agriculture, or horticulture, with an interest in undertaking research in ecological restoration on Banks Peninsula. Academic merit is a criterion, and students with barriers to university study are encouraged to apply; e.g., financial, first generation at university, minority groups, dependants.
