About the scholarship
Previously known as the Pasifika Excellence Scholarship, this scholarship supports Pasifika students entering their first year of undergraduate study. A Motu Scholar will be expected to be actively engaged in the Lincoln University Pacific Island Student Association (LUPISA) and to be part of Pasifika events and activities on campus. It is also expected that applicants show strong leadership and are already engaged in projects or activities in their communities.
Entry requirements
You will need to submit:
Evidence of your academic merit
A two-minute video demonstrating your involvement and engagement in your community
A written list outlining your community leadership or describing projects that may include language revitalisation, indigenous food practices, church activities or other areas of relevance
Two references (one character reference and one academic reference).
Be of Pasifika descent and a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
