Taki Turner Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and was created to support Waikato-Tainui uri in pursuing studies at the University of Waikato. It focuses on areas aligned with the strategic aspirations of the iwi. It is available to domestic students who are enrolled full-time (120 points) in any programme at the University of Waikato in 2025. Please note that Doctoral and MPhil programmes are excluded. To apply for the Taki Turner Scholarship, click “Apply Now” below. You will be directed to your MyWaikato portal, where you must select “Pokaia Nepia / Taki Turner Scholarships” to begin your application. In the online application, you can choose to be considered for either scholarship or both. Please ensure you carefully read the scholarship regulations before starting the application process.
