About the scholarship

These scholarships were established in 2019 by Fujitsu Cyber Security Services to support two students with their studies in cyber security. These awards are intended to encourage and help build cyber security expertise within New Zealand. Fujitsu's purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. We require diverse people to help us achieve our purpose. This is why we encourage students from all walks of life to apply for this scholarship, particularly Māori, Pacific Peoples, female and gender-diverse people. The Scholarship is open to students studying Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The Scholarship shall be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Entry requirements

These scholarships are open to students enrolled at 200 level or above in a BE (Hons) degree majoring in Cyber Security Engineering or Software Engineering at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who will be able to obtain and keep a Security Clearance (See Security Clearance Guidelines). Applicants must be studying full time towards a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must have successfully completed at least 80 points at 100 level toward the degree specified above.
