About the scholarship
This Scholarship is available for all subject areas. It is aimed at Māori and/or Pacific students wanting to pursue pathways into academic careers. The scholarship provides NZ$40,000 per annum plus domestic tuition fees and other fees.
Entry requirements
For applicants of Māori and/or Pacific descent who are NZ Citizens or permanent residents and will be enrolling full-time in a doctoral qualification. Applicants must be planning to undertake part or all of their study at a university other than the University of Waikato. Exposure to different ways of thinking, collaboration with academics from other institutions ensures recipients will be competitive for positions on academic staff.
