About the scholarship

The scholarship was established from the bequest of Dr Joan Mattingley, who graduated with a PhD in Biological Chemistry in 1977. Her husband Charles Cameron had a lifelong interest in music. The scholarship provides funds administered by the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation, for Master's studies - separately in Chemistry and in Music, and can include a domestic and overseas travel component. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage enrolment in Master's programmes in both Chemistry and Music which may include domestic or international travel components.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be current full-time or transferring students enrolling in a Master's degree programme in Chemistry or Music at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington. Preference may be given to applicants who have completed all, or a substantial portion of their undergraduate degree in Chemistry in the School of Chemical and Physical Sciences or in Music at Te Kōkī - the New Zealand School of Music at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
