About the scholarship
This scholarship is funded by Kāhui Legal and Taihonoa at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. It is intended to encourage and financially support the successful pursuit of tertiary qualifications and leadership development for Kāhui Legal. The Kāhui Legal Excellence Scholarship is offered to help offset tuition fees or other course-related costs for a student who has demonstrated academic excellence in their first year of study.
Entry requirements
Applicants must: be enrolled fulltime in the second year of studies at Te Herenga Waka; whakapapa as Māori. Selection is based on merit and quality of application. Preference will be given to applicants who are enrolled in te reo Māori, tikanga Māori or courses that are inclusive of a mātauranga Māori world view. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered. Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date. If no application link is provided below, check back again closer to the closing date.
