About the scholarship
This scholarship was established to encourage students to continue their studies in Classics. Classics is vital to a broad based humanities education. It examines the legacies of ancient Greece and Rome, the ideas expressed through language and literature and how they have influenced the way we live today.
Entry requirements
This scholarship is open to a current full time student majoring in Classical Studies, Latin, or Greek, who is intending to enrol in their third undergraduate year or Honours year majoring in Classical Studies, Latin or Greek at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in the year following application. Applicants must be currently enrolled at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington as a full time student. Applicants must be majoring in Classical Studies, Latin or Greek. Applicants must be intending to enrol in 300 level or towards a Bachelor of Honours. Applicants are chosen on the basis of academic merit and their passion for the subject. Financial hardship may be considered as a secondary consideration when choosing a recipient.
