About the scholarship
This scholarship was established by Emeritus Professor Pat Walsh, who served as the Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington from 2005 to 2014. Its purpose is to provide assistance to students who may face financial constraints that could hinder their academic pursuits. The scholarship is open to applicants who are enrolled full-time in the second year of their first undergraduate degree and is intended for those facing financial hardship.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled full time at Victoria University of Wellington in the second year of their first degree. Preference will be given to applicants who are experiencing financial hardship. Applicants will be expected to have a grade point average of B or above. Applications are open for domestic and international students. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
