About the scholarship
Partners Life are proud to be a New Zealand operated company. Like many Kiwi companies, we began with humble beginnings as a small start-up in 2011. Our actuaries work at the heart of our business and provide valued insights into pricing, valuation, capital management and business strategy. In 2022 we opened our Wellington office, so we can now offer employment opportunities both here as well as our Takapuna site. This scholarship supports students studying Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar major.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be currently studying (undergraduate or postgraduate) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be studying Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar major. You must be enrolled in a second year (or later) of BSc or BCom, majoring in Actuarial Science and intending to complete the major. Academic excellence is required, with an A- grade average/GPA of 7 or above. Evidence of strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills is necessary. Preference will be given to applicants who are intending to finish their studies in the next year and be studying or have completed the ACTS (Actuarial Science) course.
