About the scholarship
This scholarship is a memorial to the late Megan Wraight, who passed away in August 2020. Founder of Wraight + Associates WĀ, and a visionary landscape architect and a true leader of the profession in Aotearoa-New Zealand, Megan led numerous large-scale urban projects and was involved in a wide range of public and private sector work, including harbour foreshore developments, port redevelopment, educational facilities, transport facilities and urban renewal projects. This scholarship honours Megan's passion for the profession and her dedication to educating the next generations of landscape architects. It seeks to support 2nd year students in the Bachelor of Architectural Studies, majoring in Landscape Architecture, who are willing to continue their undergraduate and postgraduate studies to become leading designers and creative thinkers.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have completed all their coursework pertaining to the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies, majoring in Landscape Architecture, at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. To benefit from this scholarship, applicants must be enrolled in the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies, majoring in Landscape Architecture at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must have completed all their coursework pertaining to the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies, majoring in Landscape Architecture, particularly LAND212 Landscape Architecture Design Studio II. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to current professional issues, a flair for design and innovation, good communication skills, and a high academic achievement level. Preference may be given to Māori and Pasifika students.
