About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2008 through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation from a bequest from the estate of Mrs Claire Palmer-Jones. During her lifetime, Mrs Palmer-Jones expressed her desire to assist women who were experiencing difficulty in continuing their study at the University as a result of financial hardship. The scholarship is designed to support a second or third-year female student who is experiencing financial hardship, specifically targeted to students studying literature and/or modern languages.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be female. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in their second or third year at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be enrolled in English literature or modern languages. Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered. Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date. If no application link is provided below, check back again closer to the closing date.
