About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2008 through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation from a bequest from the estate of Mrs Claire Palmer-Jones. During her lifetime, Mrs Palmer-Jones expressed her desire to assist women who were experiencing difficulty in continuing their study at the University as a result of financial hardship.
Entry requirements
This scholarship is designed to support a second or third-year female student who is experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship is targeted to students studying literature and/or modern languages. The scholarship will be awarded based on financial hardship and academic merit. Applicants must be female. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in their second or third year at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be enrolled in English literature or modern languages. Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship.
