About the scholarship
The Athol Mann Award for Classical Voice was established in 2018 with a generous bequest from Athol Mann in acknowledgment of his passion for Opera and commitment to students of classical voice. This scholarship is to support students majoring in Classical Voice at the New Zealand School of Music at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled full-time at the New Zealand School of Music majoring in Classical Voice in the year following application. Students completing their year of study in Trimester 1 the year following application are also eligible to apply. Preference for 300-level and honours students; however, all undergraduate and postgraduate students may still apply. Selection will be based on academic merit and the strength of the documentation provided. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
