About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in recognition of the long-standing professional relationship between Professor Tony Angelo, of the Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty, and the countries of the South Pacific. It supports Law graduates from the Pacific Islands with a first-class academic record who plan to undertake a Master's degree at the Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty or a Postgraduate Diploma. The scholarship covers one return economy class airfare and fees for the LLM or Postgraduate Diploma.
Entry requirements
Open to Law graduates from the Pacific Islands with a first-class academic record. Applicants should be planning on a legal career in academic service, government, or community service. Priority will be given to applicants living in the Pacific Islands, but Pasifika students resident in New Zealand may also be considered. Third or fourth-year students of Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty wishing to enrol for a trimester at the Law Faculty of the University of the South Pacific are also eligible.
