About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in recognition of the long-standing professional relationship between Professor Tony Angelo, of the Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty, and the countries of the South Pacific. It supports Law graduates from the Pacific Islands with a first-class academic record who plan to undertake a Master's degree or a Postgraduate Diploma at the Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty.
Entry requirements
This scholarship is open to Law graduates from the Pacific Islands with a first-class academic record, who plan to undertake, or are currently undertaking, a Master's degree at the Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty (either by thesis or by coursework), or a Postgraduate Diploma. Applicants should be planning on a legal career in academic service, or in government or community service. Priority will be given to applicants living in the Pacific Islands but Pasifika students resident in New Zealand may also be considered. The scholarship may also be awarded to third or fourth-year students of Te Herenga Waka–Victoria University of Wellington Law Faculty who wish to enrol for a trimester at the Law Faculty of the University of the South Pacific.
