About the scholarship
The Dan F Jones Scholarship in Science was established through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation in 1998 by a bequest from Dan Fletcher Jones, who retained an active and enquiring interest in science and mathematics. This scholarship provides financial support for students facing financial hardship.
Entry requirements
Current students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be enrolled in an Honours degree at 400-level in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, School of Biological Sciences, School of Chemical and Physical Sciences, or School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences. Applicants enrolled in a BSc or BEHons at 400-level majoring in Computer Science at honours level in the School of Engineering and Computer Science are also eligible. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
