About the scholarship
The Dan F Jones Scholarship in Science was established through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation in 1998 by a bequest from Dan Fletcher Jones, who retained an active and enquiring interest in science and mathematics. This scholarship provides financial support for students facing financial hardship while pursuing an Honours degree in various science disciplines.
Entry requirements
Current students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington studying to complete an Honours degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, or Earth Sciences. Applicants must be facing financial hardship. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
