About the scholarship

The Chubb Actuarial Scholarship aims to encourage students to consider the actuarial profession and the Actuarial Science major offered at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. It supports students wishing to study actuarial science and later work as an actuary, while promoting Chubb as an employer of actuaries providing health and well-being solutions across New Zealand.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have an A- grade average and be enrolled in a second year (or later) of BSc or BCom, majoring in Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar major. Open to domestic and international students residing in New Zealand. Preference will be given to candidates intending to stay and work in New Zealand in the actuarial profession after the completion of their study. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
