About the scholarship
These Scholarships are intended to encourage and support high achieving students to pursue full-time doctoral study (PhD) at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarships consist of a $32,000 per annum stipend plus domestic tuition fees for up to three years.
Entry requirements
The Scholarships are open to graduates of any New Zealand university who intend to enrol full time for a doctoral degree (PhD) at Victoria University of Wellington or who have commenced their doctoral study at the University. These scholarships are for applicants who have achieved a GPA of 8.5 (based on the standard doctoral GPA calculation methods), or above in their prerequisite degree(s) which has been completed within 12 months prior to application. Those applicants who have completed outside the 12 months will be considered on an individual merit basis but must still meet the GPA requirement.
