About the scholarship
The HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing is a non-Government funded Charitable Trust established in 1996, to prepare New Zealand for an ageing future. The mission of the Foundation is to lead and resource the funding of people conducting research on ageing, disseminate research-based information about the effects of ageing on individuals and society, increase the pool of researchers in New Zealand, and influence decision-makers to improve the quality of life for ageing New Zealanders. These scholarships, established in 2003, are intended to support University students in the early stages of their careers, conducting research into ageing.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enrol full-time or part-time in a Masters (by thesis) or Doctoral study at Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants' research must be in a topic related to ageing. The HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing Scholarship is tenable by students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand. There is discretion to also consider applications from international students of merit, who are doing postgraduate research study at a New Zealand University.
