About the scholarship
This scholarship was established through a bequest from the late George Trachy Pirouet to support students undertaking postgraduate study in Latin American studies at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 and can be used towards tuition fees or as a monthly stipend.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol full-time, in a Master's by thesis or PhD in a topic in Latin American studies at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Selection will be based on academic merit. A personal statement outlining the desired area of research and their intended research project is required, along with one academic reference to be requested via the online application.
