About the scholarship
These scholarships are for school leavers or first-time tertiary students of Pasifika ethnicity from Porirua City or surrounding areas who are enrolling or intending to enrol in an undergraduate course in the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarships are named to honour the contributions of former Porirua and Mana MP Graham Kelly, who established the Porirua City Community Educational Trust, known as e-Learning Porirua, in 2001. The scholarships will benefit school-leavers and first-time tertiary students of Pasifika ethnicity from Porirua City and surrounding areas who are enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate qualification in Engineering and Computer Science at the University.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be intending to enrol full time in an undergraduate qualification in Engineering and Computer Science at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be of Pasifika ethnicity. Applicants must be from Porirua City or surrounding areas, including Linden and Tawa to the south and Paekākāriki and Paraparaumu to the north. Preference will be given to applicants who are actively involved in extra-curricular or voluntary activities in their school, church, or wider community.
