About the scholarship
This scholarship was established to support Māori students who are intending to study IT-related subjects. TEAM IM NZ has been delivering high-value content management and unstructured data solutions for their customers for over 20 years. They aim to build long-term sustainable IT business solutions providing value for all stakeholders, including customers, employees, partners, suppliers, and shareholders. TEAM IM NZ aspires to support technology careers for Māori students including scholarships and internships.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens. Applicants must be of Māori descent (proof of Māori ethnicity required via the online application). Applicants must be intending to enrol at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington in one of the following degrees: BE(Hons) majoring in Software Engineering, BE(Hons) majoring in Cybersecurity Engineering, BSc majoring in Computer Science, BSc majoring in Artificial Intelligence, BSc majoring in Information Systems, BCom majoring in Information Systems. Selection will be based on applicants that are facing financial hardship and achieving satisfactory academic progress. Wāhine are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Te Reo or a willingness to learn Te Reo will be beneficial.
