About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in 1980 by the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, the Rt. Hon. Sir John Marshall, GBE, CH, BA, LLM, Hon. LLD, to encourage the study of Political Science at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The Scholarship was extended to include International Relations. The recipient must be enrolled at 200 level POLS or INTP course at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington before the scholarship is paid. The Scholarship will be paid as a stipend in one lump sum after the cut-off date for course withdrawal.
Entry requirements
Applicants must have completed 100 level POLS or INTP at the time they complete the application. Applicants must be enrolled in 200 level POLS or INTP courses at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington before the scholarship is paid. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered. Applicants must be intending to major in Political Science or International Relations. Please refer to the Scholarship Guidelines for details.
