About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of David Philp, a Senior Manager in government for over 30 years, who was passionate about public service and recognized for his significant achievements in identity management. The scholarship aims to support students undertaking research aligned with David's legacy in identity management, focusing on effective and inclusive identity policy, technology innovation, and improving the customer experience of identity services for New Zealanders.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled, or intending to enrol full time, in a Master's or PhD degree at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. They must be undertaking or intending to undertake study in areas related to identity management, including information and communication technology, artificial intelligence, public services, data privacy, and more. Applicants must also be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. Please refer to the Master Scholarship Guidelines for details.
