About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of David Philp, a Senior Manager in government for over 30 years, who was passionate about public service and recognized for significant achievements in identity management. The scholarship aims to support students undertaking research aligned with David's career, particularly in identity management, technology innovation, and improving customer experiences for New Zealanders.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be undertaking study in areas related to identity management, including but not limited to information and communication technology, artificial intelligence, public services, and data privacy. Research should focus on the impacts of identity services on New Zealand citizens and residents. Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enroll full-time in a Master's or PhD degree at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be either New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents.
