About the scholarship
These Scholarships are intended to encourage and support Māori students to undertake doctoral study at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship comprises a $32,000 tax-free stipend per year for three years (36 months), plus tuition fees and student levies.
Entry requirements
These scholarships are open to all Māori candidates who intend to enrol for a doctorate at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must apply for admission to any doctoral programme at Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants would normally be expected to have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree with academic distinction equivalent to a First Class Honours degree at a New Zealand University.
