About the scholarship
Supporting Māori, Pacific, and learners with disabilities and/or learning challenges in achieving their higher vocational education aspirations. The purpose of these scholarships is to encourage the retention of these groups into higher levels of tertiary study at Toi Ohomai, contributing valuable skills and knowledge to the region and providing role models for future students.

Applications for these scholarships are not open until Friday, 1 November 2025.
Entry requirements
Applicants need to be a graduate (within two years) of a Toi Ohomai course (one year or six-months). Must have applied and been accepted into a higher-level course of study (part-time or full-time). Complete the appropriate application (Māori learner, Pacific learner, learner with a Disability and/or learning challenge). A letter from a Toi Ohomai staff member (teaching or non-teaching), or support person as outlined in each application. A cover letter describing your whakapapa, Pacific Island lineage, disability disclosure, study and career pathway, and financial situation.
