About the scholarship
The Professor Barry Dent Scholarship & International Exchange offers a 2nd or 3rd year Lincoln University student the chance to spend 6 months studying at the Royal Agricultural University in the UK. Established in 2023, the annual £3,000 Scholarship and International Exchange will give one full-time LU student the opportunity to study at Royal Agricultural University (RAU) in the UK for six months while a RAU student will have the opportunity to come and study at Lincoln. The exchange will support students in both the UK and New Zealand undertaking degrees relevant to agriculture and will give them an excellent opportunity to gain overseas experience as part of their degree studies. It is hoped they will form networks for their future jobs and career as well as help to forge a stronger relationship between the two institutions.
Entry requirements
Applications are open to any registered full-time students in their second or third year of an agricultural degree (or related subject areas) at Lincoln University. The period of scholarship is from September of this year. Selection criteria include academic merit, relevance of an exchange to their current degree, and financial need, where candidates are comparable in other respects.
