About the scholarship
The Māori Education Trust was set up to encourage Māori into tertiary education and this was achieved through the payment of grants and scholarships. The Ti Maru Māori Trust Scholarship is available to Māori undergraduates studying at a recognised NZ tertiary institute, with priority given to academic merit. The award is valued at $5,000. The Ti Maru Māori Trust Prestigious Scholarship is available to Māori graduates with a record of academic excellence and the proven ability to complete postgraduate studies in either New Zealand or overseas.
