About the scholarship
The Massey University Undergraduate First Year scholarship supports school leavers to undertake university study for the first time. These scholarships are designed to acknowledge excellence and enable equitable access to study for all students new to Massey undergraduate study. The value of the scholarship is up to $4,325, including direct payment to the recipient of $3,000 for students studying full time (minimum 105 credits) and $1,500 for students studying part time (minimum 60 credits), support through the Scholars Massey programme up to the value of $1,000 and a Massey university Gym Membership for one year valued at $325.
Entry requirements
You will be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident who is currently studying NCEA Level 3, or equivalent, or who completed NCEA Level 3, or equivalent, last year. Include the following with your application: Transcripts for your secondary school results. If you are studying NCEA please attach your School results Summary from the NZQA website at NZQA. On the My School Entries and Results page, click the ‘view as pdf’ (button on the right-hand side) to save this document. When choosing our recipients we will consider your NCEA Level 2, or equivalent, results. You will normally be expected to have NCEA Level 2 endorsed in Excellence (or equivalent for non-NCEA qualifications).
