About the scholarship
The Noeleen Olson Horticulture Masters Scholarship is for New Zealand citizens enrolled in a master's degree in horticultural science at Massey University. It provides financial support of $15,000 for one year. The scholarship honors Noeleen Olson, a dedicated educator and horticulture enthusiast, who graduated from Massey University in 1970 and was a founding member of Palmerston North's horticultural society.
Entry requirements
You must:
- be a New Zealand citizen
- be undertaking research in the field of horticultural science. Include the following with your application:
- your academic transcripts for any tertiary study completed outside of Massey University
- a statement on how receiving this scholarship would be of benefit to you, and how you believe you meet the intentions of this award. First year students should state what research they are hoping to pursue, and second year students should include a research proposal
- for second-year applicants only; a report from your supervisor outlining the progress of your master's degree to date, including comments advising on your suitability for continuing tenure
- a copy of your Massey University transcripts/current enrolment. You can download your Study History Report from the Student Portal, under ‘Results and Exams’.
