About the scholarship

The Ted Delahunty Accountancy and Agribusiness Bursary was established by the Ted Delahunty Trust. Mr Delahunty was a senior lecturer in Massey University's School of Accounting and Finance from 1978 to 1986. On his retirement, he established the Ted Delahunty Trust to provide education and research into accounting and other business activities for the land-based primary industry. Mr Delahunty passed away in 2015. This scholarship is for a third-year undergraduate student studying accountancy or agribusiness, who is facing financial hardship.

Entry requirements

You must: be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident; be enrolled in a specific programme; study on the Manawatū campus. Include the following with your application: a character reference; a personal statement illustrating your financial hardship and how you meet the intentions of this bursary; a budget outlining your annual expenses and any predicted earnings, including other scholarships or bursaries; a CV listing any professional experience and any community involvement.
