About the scholarship
For a student enrolled in a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Bachelor of Animal Science, or Bachelor of Agribusiness, and who have completed their first year of the degree. This bursary was established from a donation in 1931 from the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association in memory of Mr A. A. Thornton. Mr Thornton was instrumental in improving the quality of dairy factories.
