About the scholarship
The Thornton Memorial Dairy Bursary is for students enrolled in a Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Bachelor of Animal Science, or Bachelor of Agribusiness, who have completed their first year of the degree. Established from a donation in 1931 from the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association in memory of Mr A. A. Thornton, this bursary aims to support students from a dairy farming background pursuing a career in the dairy industry.
Entry requirements
You must be studying full-time, enrolled in the second or third year of your degree in one of the following programs: Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Bachelor of Animal Science, or Bachelor of Agribusiness. Include a statement on how receiving this scholarship would benefit you and your study, outlining your career goals and connection to the dairy industry. Also, provide a copy of your Massey University transcripts/current enrolment. You can download your Study History Report from the Student Portal, under ‘Results and Exams’.
