About the scholarship
The Toioho Ki Apiti Undergraduate Scholarship is for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts, which focuses on the visual expressions of mana whakapapa, mana tiriti, mana whenua, and mana tangata. The program includes studies in sculpture, installation, painting, digital media, and digital photography, along with Te Reo Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Māori Culture electives. We're looking for someone who is passionate about contemporary Māori arts.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled in full-time study in the Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts. Include 4–10 images of artwork, a personal statement (around 300 words) about interest in contemporary Māori arts, a brief statement on future goals, a copy of High School results (NCEA Level 3 or equivalent), and a reference (optional but encouraged).
