About the scholarship
The Bailey Bequest Bursary is for postgraduate students facing financial hardship, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances. Established from funds provided by the late Walter Henry Bailey, a retired farmer from Wellington, these bursaries aim to support students in need. You can be enrolled in any postgraduate programme, but note that Doctoral students may not apply, though they may be eligible for alternative hardship funding.
Entry requirements
You must be supported by a supervisor, head of department or other academic mentor who is familiar with your circumstances. Include the following with your application: a supporting statement from your supervisor, head of department or other academic mentor who is familiar with your circumstances; a personal statement illustrating your financial hardship. Please include as much information as possible to highlight your need, including incoming funds and outgoing expenses.
