About the scholarship

The Heseltine Ecology Bursary is for someone who wants to or is undertaking research in conservation biology, ecology, or zoology at postgraduate level. The funds for the bursary have been donated by Massey University staff, Dr Ian Stringer and Associate Professor Alastair Robertson, from conservation-related contracts they held. In 2019, the Heseltine Trust provided an additional $75,000 to the corpus of the fund and the Ecology Bursary was renamed the Heseltine Ecology Bursary.
