About the scholarship
This scholarship is supported by a fund donated by the Kimbolton Rhododendron Society as a memorial to Dr J. S. Yeates. Dr Yeates was the first President of the New Zealand Rhododendron Association and was instrumental in the purchase of the property that ultimately became Kimbolton Rhododendron Heritage Park. The scholarship is for a Manawatū resident enrolled in a bachelor's degree with a focus on horticulture.
Entry requirements
You must:
- normally reside in the Manawatū, preferably northern Manawatū
- be studying full-time
- have completed 120 credits of your horticultural degree.
Include the following with your application:
- a statement on how receiving this scholarship would be of benefit to you and your study, and how you believe you meet the intentions of this award
- a copy of your Massey University transcripts/current enrolment. You can download your Study History Report from the Student Portal, under ‘Results and Exams’.
