About the scholarship
The John Alexander Milne Scholarship is for students undertaking research in ovine (sheep) fertility and reproduction. This is a postgraduate scholarship for those enrolled in a 90 or 120 credit research course as part of a master's degree with the School of Agriculture and Environment. Your research will be related to sheep reproduction either directly or indirectly, aimed at understanding the underlying reproductive biology of sheep, the economic impacts of impaired reproductive performance, or improving reproductive performance in NZ sheep flocks. The scholarship was established through a bequest from John Milne, a veterinarian who left a $100,000 bequest to support master's research students in the field of sheep reproduction.
Entry requirements
You must be a New Zealand citizen who is enrolled or is intending to enrol in the research component of a master's degree. Include a brief research proposal highlighting the alignment of your research to the scholarship purpose. Please refer to the scholarship regulations for more information.
