About the scholarship
Applications are invited from students who are immediate family members of Fonterra suppliers in the Taranaki region. The scholarship supports students intending to pursue a career in the dairy industry while attending a full-time course at a tertiary institution.
Entry requirements
Applicants will be immediate family members of Fonterra suppliers (Shareholders or Sharemilkers) or Fonterra staff in the Taranaki region. Applicants need to be either a New Zealand Citizen or New Zealand Permanent Resident. The scholarship is to be used for tuition and books. Students need to be registered for a full-time course at either a university or Institute of Technology by 31 March in the year of the award and satisfactorily complete course work in each year preceding re-application. The scholarship will be awarded on the recommendation of the John Young Memorial Scholarship selection panel. Please refer to the John Young Memorial Scholarship Regulations for details.
