About the scholarship

For students undertaking postgraduate research in the Wildlife and Ecology Group at Massey University's Manawatū campus. The Julie Alley Bursary was established in memory of Julie Alley, who was dedicated to the conservation of New Zealand's indigenous flora and fauna.

Entry requirements

You must be:

  • based on the Manawatū campus
  • undertaking postgraduate research in the Wildlife and Ecology Group
  • facing financial hardship
  • an enrolled Massey University student.

Include the following with your application:

  • a research outline
  • your CV
  • your academic transcripts for any tertiary study completed outside of Massey University
  • an academic reference, preferably from your supervisor or a member of your research team
  • a personal statement that identifies your financial circumstances and clearly demonstrates need. Please provide an overview of your financial circumstances (a clear picture, but not necessarily fine detail) which shows that you have a greater need than your peers.
