About the scholarship
The Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington Hardship Fund Equity Grants are designed to support students facing financial hardship, encouraging them to continue their studies. Established in 2000 and funded through the Student Assistance Scheme, these grants provide financial assistance to both domestic and international students enrolled at the university.
Entry requirements
Applications are open to all students currently studying at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, including domestic, international, undergraduate, postgraduate, part-time, and full-time students. Applicants must be enrolled in the trimester they are applying for. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Required supporting documentation includes a personal statement, proof of income, recent bank document showing account balances, and transactions from the last two weeks.
