About the scholarship
The Ella C Wilson Music Award was established in memory of Ella C Wilson, a long-serving staff member of Napier Girls' High School. The award supports female students enrolled full-time in music degrees at the New Zealand School of Music, with a preference for Masters students. It aims to assist those facing financial hardship and encourages community engagement through participation in ensembles and performances.
Entry requirements
Must be female students (applicants must identify as female, including cis-gendered and trans-gendered) at the New Zealand School of Music. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree at the NZSM, and be accepted to and enrolled in a postgraduate music degree, with preference given to Masters applicants. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. Financial hardship may be taken into consideration. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
