Length $8,000 each year of 4-year degree subject to successful completon each year.

A Nga Karahipi Uru Rakau (Forestry Scholarship) is your first step to a career in one of New Zealand's largest export industries.Te Uru Rakau - New Zealand Forest Service is committed to creating greater diversity in the forestry and wood processing sector and we encourage Maori and those who identify as female in particular to take up careers in forestry and and help transform New Zealand's future.

Entry requirements

We want to hear from applicants who are Maori and/or identify as female (or both) enrolling in a:Bachelor of Forestry Science at the University of Canterbury. Other scholarships are also available to study the Bachelor in Engineering (Hons) in Forest Engineering and the Diploma in Forest Management.
