About the scholarship
The Tu Ako Scholarship a graduate scholarship programme offered by the New Zealand Army. Once accepted into the Tu Ako Scholarship, you will complete the New Zealand Commissioning Course (11 months), graduate as an Officer into your chosen Corps and commence your career as a NZ Army Officer. During your first four years of service, you will receive a bonus of up to $12,000 per year in addition to your salary. There is no minimum term of employment or return of service for this scholarship.

Entry requirements
A Bachelor degree. You can apply during your final two years of study, or as a recent graduate. Meet the aptitude, fitness, citizenship, security and medical requirements for enlistment into the New Zealand Defence Force. Successfully pass an Army Officer Selection Board.
