Dean's German Study Abroad Scholarship
Value $2,000.00

About the scholarship

Two scholarships are available annually for eligible EIT students to study at partner tertiary institutes in Germany.

This scholarship aims to encourage EIT domestic degree and post graduate students to study abroad at an EIT German university partner for one or two semesters.

EIT has Memoranda of Understandings with seven German Universities:

• Anhalt University of Applied Sciences • Coburg University of Applied Science • Deggensdorf Institute of Technology • Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences • Heilbronn University of Applied Science • Münster University of Applied Sciences • OTH Regensburg University of Applied Science

The main barrier for many EIT students who would like to study at a partner German university is the travel cost. The Dean’s German Study Abroad Scholarship should cover the main return airfares, up to a maximum of $2000.

Students will have to pay for their accommodation costs (which are generally cheaper than in New Zealand) and personal expenses. Normally fees will not be charged by the host German institute as most programmes of study in Germany are fee free.
