About the scholarship
The competition is open to any Horticulture grower as defined by Horticulture NZ, including landowners, lessees and managers based in the Hawke’s Bay region and defined by the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council boundary. The horticulture business must be a full-time operation for at least one person.
Entrants must be pursuing a system of horticulture which will maintain a high sustainable performance over a long term.
The winner will receive recognition of being the Hawke’s Bay Horticulturalist of the Year$1500 cash and the Hawke’s Bay A&P Society Trophy, originally donated by Apsey White & Co in 1915
