About the scholarship
Gary Reid as manager, devoted his life to the Whanganui Peoples Centre. He provided advice, support and advocacy for low income workers and beneficiaries. He networked and worked with a number of local community and government organisations. Many people in the Whanganui Region benefited from him and the Centre in achieving successful outcomes. To commemorate the work of the late Gary Reid a grant of $1,000 will be awarded annually to one recipient. The award will be made each year to a different recipient

Entry requirements
The panel will select the recipient who in their view best meets following
- Facing significant challenges in undertaking their programme of study
- Demonstrates a very high level of commitment to completing the programme of study
- Will put the grant to good use towards completing the programme of study
