Soroptimist International of Palmerston North

Soroptimist International of Palmerston North is pleased to offer a scholarship to be taken up at UCOL. The scholarship will comprise an award of up to $750.00 for a full-time student at UCOL. In making the award the Committee will consider the applicant’s personal history, academic merit, interest in community affairs, financial circumstances and plans for the future. The award will be made on the basis of a recommendation from the Soroptimist International Scholarship Committee. In any year, Soroptimist International of Palmerston North may decide not to award a scholarship. Soroptimist International is a worldwide organisation of Service Clubs for business and professional women, with over 100,000 members in 100 countries. The objectives of Soroptimist International include service at local, national and international level, the striving for equal rights for all people, the advancement of women, and the promotion of international understanding and universal friendship. The award may be made to one student, or divided in any way determined by the Selection Committee.
