About the scholarship
The Men’s Health Trust collaborates with Unitec to attract and support men into healthcare professions. One way of doing this is to support them in their training at Unitec with a targeted scholarship scheme for males studying in health-related programmes.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria: • Male New Zealand citizen or holder of a New Zealand Permanent Resident visa • Be currently enrolled or submitted an application to Unitec to be admitted full-time into one of the following Unitec programmes: o Bachelor of Nursing o Diploma in Enrolled Nursing o Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Biology) o Master of Osteopathy o Bachelor of Health Science (Medical Imaging) o Bachelor of Health and Social Development o Bachelor of Social Practice o Bachelor of Sport (Coaching) o Diploma of Sport and Fitness Education • For current Unitec students: achieved a grade point average of 3.5 (B-) or above for previous semester’s study. • For new Unitec students: must meet the entry criteria for the selected programme of study. • All candidates must apply using the Unitec online Scholarships Application form to be eligible. • Preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following criteria: o Maori o Pacific o First in family to pursue tertiary education o Financial Need
