About the scholarship
The Rika Fund was established following the February 2011 earthquake in Christchurch.
The purpose of the Rika Fund is to support students to participate in international short-term exchanges or undertake courses of study according to criteria outlined below.

Every application will be assessed by a designated panel of committee members.
Entry requirements
Scholarship/exchange funding applicants must be:
*New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who are currently studying Nursing or Japanese Language at Ara Institute of Canterbury or; *Japanese citizens who are currently studying English or Nursing at Ara. *Christchurch secondary school students in their final year of study who have an interest in Japanese language and culture, and who would like to experience a short term study opportunity at Kanto Gakuin High School in Yokohama, Japan.
